| | Recycled Glass Jewelry: Green Depression Rectangular Earrings Recycled Glass Jewelry: Green Depression Rectangular Earrings This lovely pale green glass was manufactured in great quantities during the 1930's and 1940's becoming known simply as Depression Glass. Popular for the delicate color and beautiful embossing patterns, this glass is now treasured by collectors worldwide. In these earrings, the glass has been reclaimed from broken pieces taken from old glass dumps from natural wooded habitats and rural farmlands in an effort to help the environment and protect the wildlife. Measuring 1/4" in width and 1" in length, and hangs from sterling french wires. Total hang length including the wires is approx 1 1/2". After being cut and carefully smoothed, each piece is hand drilled and wrapped with sterling. Due to the handmade nature of the product and antique glass, expect variations in the glass and the embossing pattern, but each piece will bear the original embossing so popular from that era in history. Every piece of Bottled Up Design s comes with "The Story of the Glass" detailing what the glass was origin ally a nd the age of the piece in an effort to preserve the history of the glass while helping the environment.
