Dolce Vita Blend Ocimum basilicum 1'-2' ft. Delight your senses with this custom organic mix of six distinctive basils to fill the garden and kitchen recipes with colors, flavors, and scents. Cinnamon, Genovese, Tall Lemon, Lime, Mammonth, and Purple Petra. 1 1/2-2 1/2 in. leaves (60-70 days)

Basil Greek Yevani Ocimum basilicum 6-8 in. A very attractive, compact, small-leafed bush basil. Basil Greek Yevani is an organically grown version of Basil Greek Spicy Globe. Ideal for container gardening or borders. Excellent for cooking and in salads, it retains its sweet flavor even after flowering, 6-8 in. tall plant. 1/2-1 in. leaves (60-70 days)

Genovese Sweet Basil Ocimum basilicum 14-20 in. Classic Italian basil. Most productive variety in our trials with a high leaf to stem ratio. Uniform, slow to bolt.

Lime Basil Ocimum basilicum americanum Heirloom 10-16 in. Good container variety. A unique lime-flavored basil that adds a flavorful twist to vinegars, fish, salad dressings, sauces, and oils. You can also use it in standard basil dishes such as pesto for a refreshing change. Lime basil is a perfect addition to fruity desserts. 10-16 in. compact, green plants, 2 in. leaves. Annual. Basil Purple Petra Ocimum basilicum 24 in. Tender Annual Purple Petra basil has a mild sweet taste that is nice for those of us that love basil's flavor, but shy away from too much herbal spiciness. Its large shiny leaves are dark reddish-purple and grow vigorously to a height of 24". Its excellent sweet taste goes well in a variety of Italian dishes, pesto, pasta, and salads. You can grow it as a companion plant for your tomatoes or in other areas of the garden as an ornamental. Annual (60-70 days)


Garden Chives (Common) Allium schoenoprasum 8-12 in. Hardy Perennial Dense clusters of grass-like foliage are mildly onion-flavored, contain Vitamin C, some iron, and can help promote digestion. Both flower and stem can be cut anytime for use in salads, soups, or stir-fries. 6-12 in. plant produces 1-2 in. lavender flowers that bees love. Hardy perennial.


Slow Bolt Cilantro Coriandrum sativum 2-3 ft. Hardy Annual/Reseeding Bred for maximum leaf production without bolting in the heat. In mild climates, sow in the fall for spring production. Always direct seed.
Dukat Dill
Anethum graveolens 18-24 in. Hardy Annual/Reseeding Blue-green leaves have a delicate fragrance. Taste is mellow and sweetly aromatic, never bitter or overly pungent. Vigorous plant is an abundant producer of leaves. Holds longer at the leaf stage than other dills. This dill has the sweetest taste of all. Direct seed in a sunny place in the garden in late spring or early summer. Fertilize soil with mature compost. During germination, keep entire seedbed evenly moist. To use the leaf as a dried herb, harvest before the plant flowers. Mature seeds may be harvested as a spice.

Dill Bouquet
Anethum graveolens
18-24 in. Hardy Annual/Reseeding
This organic dill is the most widely grown variety. Bouquet dill has early, large seed heads, making it an excellent choice for pickling. Its fresh foliage is wonderful on new potatoes, tomatoes, grilled salmon, spinach, green beans, cucumbers, squash, and lamb chops. The robust, but airy plants reach 30"-36" tall and have 6" wide yellow umbel-shaped flowers. Be sure to plant extra for the Swallowtail butterflies! Their caterpillars love dill (along with parsley, fennel, and carrot foliage).
Marjoram, Sweet Origanum majorana 12-24" Hardy Perennial/Tender Perennial Popular in southern France where its leaves and shoots are used for seasoning. Sweet Marjoram has a similar flavor to Oregano, just a bit sweeter and more mild. Blooms from late June through August. Perennial in zones 8-10.

Oregano, Common Origanum vulgare Heirloom 12-18 in. Hardy Perennial Common Oregano is often confused with the more pungent white-flowered True Greek variety. Common Oregano has a milder flavor somewhat between the slight spiciness of Marjoram and Thyme.
Italian Flat Leaf Parsley Petroselinium crispum Heirloom 12-18 in. Hardy Biennial This one is our favorite for seasoning and drying. Introduced around 1806. With larger leaves than standard strains, this parsley grows up to 2 ft. tall, has a concentrated flavor and dark-green, glossy leaves. Biennial. (75-80 days)

Parsley Moss Curled Petroselinium crispum Heirloom 12-18 in. Hardy Biennial Grow great garnishes! Hardy biennial like full sun or partial shade. Parsley's attractive and nutritious sprigs add color to meals.
Garden Sage Salvia officinalis Heirloom 1-2 ft. Perennial (Zones 4-8) This semi-woody shrub with grey-green foliage grows to 1'-2' tall and gets purple/blue flowers. Often grown for its ornamental beauty. Both flowers and foliage are edible and have a strong, unique flavor that enhances a variety of dishes including omelettes, breads, poultry, stuffing, beef, pork, duck, tomatoes, squash, all types of beans, and many other vegetables.
Summer Savory Satureja hortensis Heirloom 12-18 in. Tender Annual Used fresh or dried, this easy-to-grow herb has a taste similar to thyme, though milder. Widely used in salads, soups and bean dishes. A delicious addition to a summer squash stir-fry. Introduced from Europe several centuries ago. Sow in a sunny place in the garden from early spring to early summer. For earlier plants, start indoors 4-6 weeks before last frost date. Harvesting tips. Clip stems from plant once it has reached 8-10" tall, being careful not to prune the plant too heavily. Harvest entire plant before the first frost.
Thyme, English Thymus vulgaris 10-15 in. Hardy Perennial This classic culinary variety is strongly aromatic. Perfect for herb bunches. (Zones 5-9)
